During the 21st century, a lot has happened in terms of world trade and globalization. Currently, political support for free trade and globalization appears to be waning. It can be of great importance for a very open economy like the Swedish one. We face many different economic challenges. What does what is happening now in the world economy mean, in individual countries, how should we in Sweden handle the situation that has arisen when we ourselves cannot control the major global currents? These are the questions I will highlight during the seminar.
