System for simpler and better monitoring of energy and climate on construction sites. – results of an innovation competition within LÅGAN

In recent years, the construction and real estate industry has focused on reducing the building’s energy needs during the operational phase, but less focus has been placed on the energy used during production.

Within the LÅGAN network with funding from the Energy Agency, an innovation competition was organized last year for systems that can be used to monitor and follow up energy use, climate impact and climate maintenance during construction production. The innovation competition’s most important point of departure is a requirement specification that has been drawn up together with representatives from seven construction contractors and thus provides an overall picture of what the target group is asking for.

Hear more about the Energy Agency’s investment in innovation procurement and why follow-up is seen as an important part of the development towards more energy-efficient construction sites and, not least, take part in the grant that has been qualified for continued evaluation in practical application.
